Consultations are by appointment only and you can make one by telephoning or attending the medical centre between 08:15 and 10:00. Morning appointments are not booked in advance, but can be booked on the morning you need to be seen. Evening appointments are bookable in advance.

If possible, you will be given an appointment with the doctor of your choice howeve this is not always possible and you may be offered an appointment with another doctor in the practice.

If you need an appointment for two or more people, please state this clearly as extra time will have to be allowed for the consultation.

Please note that occasionally student doctors may sit in on surgery sessions. The receptionist will notify you of this prior to you seeing the doctor and we will request your consent. You do of course have the right to refuse.

Telephone Advice

If you require brief medical advice please telephone the medical centre before 10.30AM if possible and request a call back from the doctor.  Although it is not always possible for you to speak to the doctor of your choice you will be able to talk to one of the team. The receptionist will take your telephone number and the doctor (or nurse if appropriate) will return your call.  If you do not necessarily need to speak to a doctor, a nurse is available most mornings from 08:30 to 10:00 for general medical advice.  Nurse_BP

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
